Can I replace the harddisk of a Z1 notebook?

Can anybody tell me if I can replace the harddisk of my Sony Z1 notebook?

Are there any photo's from the inside aviable on the internet ?

Yes, you definately can!

However, it is hard to get inside these machines!

Check the VAIO VILLAGE forum as they more frequently deal with technical issues!

Have you considered using an external USB or iLink HDD instead, it may be much easier!

Attempt the HDD replacement if you think you can manage to get it all back together again!

NB: the HDD is in the bottom left-hand corner of the picture!

Thanks a lot for the information and the photo.

Is there a manual how to remove the cover / casing of the notebook safely ? The rest is no problem. I bought a new hard disk already. The one that's inside is broke.
