After my LCD broke down on my SRX51P which Ive had for around 4 years, I tried to find a replacement LCD however found that the price for a new screen to fit by sony was £400 + fitting then + shipping, I have decided to buy a new laptop instead.
Currently Im looking to buy the VGN-S5M tomorrow however have a few questions:
Is the battery life really 3hrs if it was put on "normal operation" under power management?
What does it preform like on games? I know obiously its not as powerfull as the Dell XPS however I felt that the heavyness of the XPS and the battery life of 1.5 hours wasnt very practical for myself who travels frequently. Would it run for example Eve-Online or Battlefield 1942 (Not Battlefield 2)
On the Bluetooth is there an option for the BlueTooth Headset? I know on the SRX51P my bluetooth software that came with my vaio did not support bluetooth headsets (Logitech Mobile Freedom Headset) and had to buy a usb dongle which kinda upset me as the idea of the internal bluetooth was to prevent me from buying another usb addon.
Is there a possibility that I will get a "Dead Pixel"? Or is that not very likely on the Sony Vaio laptop LCD's? If did however get one by bad luck would the store exchange it since I am spending around £1400 pounds of it.
