Hi Guys,
I need help. Anytime i plug a network cable into my vaio, My CPU usage goes up to a 100% and my vaio stalls. I am suspecting a malicious script trying to access the internet but i just cant find it. Out of frustration, i am planning to format my Hard drive. Can the recovery cd be used to re-install windows Xp (Home) on my machine if i do this?
Thanks, i hope i get some help soon.

Yes, the recovery CD will re-install Windows and all of the software that came with the computer!
It will be like the first day you bought it!
BEWARE: Because of this it will also wipe all of your installed programs and data from the HDD, so make sure you have backed-up everything you need before the recovery!
Hope this helps!

Go to Control Panel, System
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on Device Manager
Click on the + next to networking devices
Right click the card
Click Uninstall
Restart your VAIO
This has worked for me as well - bizarre how uninstalling something, then reinstalling something works...
