DVD-RW - How to Use

Mike Sims

I'm getting the same problem (Its late at night and all the support people have gone home).

I've been using Click to DVD having saved some tv films via the PCV-V1/G onto the HDD. The Click to DVD seems to work out ok but doesn't recognise the disc in the DVD drive.

The drive is a Matsushita UJ-810 (You'd think it would be a Sony in a Sony machine). The disks being used are Philips DVD+RW 4.7GB data (120 min Ext play).

Even accessing the drive via My Computer and it still doesn't recognise the disk.

Hmmm

On the blower to Sony in the morning.

I have now had success in writing to a DVD-R!! I downloaded the latest updates for the Click to DVD program, and increased available space on the C:drive to over 20GB.
However, I am still bewildered as to why the drive is only seen as a Matshita UJ-180 and not a DVD-R drive in Device Manager as I would expect to see and in fact do see on other machines with XP??
Thanks for the reply anyway,I shall view this forum more often...it has proved to be useful!
