File sharing

I have the VGN-B1VP, and i can connect to the internet using a wireless connection to a wireless router which is connected to my main computer which is running XP Home, and my notebook has XP Professional. The internet is fine, but i am unable to do any file sharing despite following the instructions numerous times, and exactly how they are. PLease help!

Akanksha's right, check you have your LAN in the safe Zone.
If you are using another firewall, turn off Windows XPs own.
