I have a K215B and have connect an optical wheel mouse. The first month, it worked. But since, the mouse is not anymore recognized by windows XP SP2.
According to microsoft, Sony is inform of the problem. A mouse connected thought USB use same component than the pad. So, after a moment the mouse does not work any more even after re updating the driver.
The only solution is to disconnect the pad.
Have anyone find the solution to do it ?
Thank you

Do you really have to have two mice working at the same time? It is odd that my PCG-K115B can run without a hitch with a USB mouse and the touchpad working at the same time under Service Pack 2.
Try looking for updated drivers HERE
Works fine here also, even after SP2. Try updating the touchpad drivers from James's link if there are any, then have a fiddle with your USB mouse drivers. Try a generic mouse driver, then if that doesn't work look for updated branded ones from the manufacturers website.
