I have a GRZ-515G laptop, which is about 16 month old, and no it can not boot anymore. So I just asked Saturn (a big shop in Germany) to send it back for the service, as I have 24 month guaranty from Saturn. But now, Sony has returned a bill asking for about 500 euro to fix the motherboard. Sony said this laptop only have one year guaranty on their side. At the same time, Saturn told me in order to get it paid by them, I have to verify that the mother board problem has been exist in the first 6 month. So I checked on web and know this is a very popular problem for GRX series laptop. So I really want to know the difference between GRX and GRZ, are they using the same mother board?
By the way, I am on the way to launch a law suit against Saturn or Sony (?) for this problem. So if anyone else has the same problem, wish you can me some advice or provide more evidence for the general failure of this product. You are welcome to mail me directly to [email protected].
