Problem with modem PCMCIA Sony Ericsson GC89 EDGE/WLAN

Hi everyone

I have Sony Vaio VGN-FS285B and modem Sony Ericsson GC89 EDGE/WLAN.
When modem is on and sending or receving information from network causing interference with laptops speakers. (It simillar to sytuation when mobile phone is next to TV or speakers and receiving text.)
From speakers come very iritating noises.
If anyone knows how to sort it out?

Buy a longer lead and place it as far as possible away from your new pride and joy. Maybe place the modem on a chair next to your desk.
Or. Wrap it in aluminium foil and wear some on your head like in the movie 'Signs'. Bill can read you mind you know.
