s/n does not work and computer will not start properly

Firstly my serial number on the computer does not work on the sony store i have tried the sony care one and one on computer. As well when i try to start up my computer about 10 times of the 20 times i have started it up it has appeared with windows 7 start up recovery.

Not if 'Repair My Computer' is available by tapping F8 during start-up.

I think this is available on all recent Vaios.
