Hi everyone, I am in urgent need of help for my vaio VPC-F137HG.
Basically the last couple of times i switched on the laptop, a burning smell came from it so i switched it back off.
Now, it wont power up. If DC plug is in with the battery removed, the green power light comes on , blinks once and then dies, screen doesnt light up, nothing else happens. With the battery IN and the DC plugged in, it will start booting and the screen and keyboard light up but it switches off 5 seconds into the booting process. With battery IN but DC unplugged, it starts booting normally but then green light starts blinking and it switches off 10 seconds later.
Also, i had recently been running the laptop quite hot at ~90 degrees for ~1hr, could that have caused any damage? does anybody know whats causing the problem? is it the power socket? why wont it runn off the battery then, even after 1hr of charging it?any suggestions about what i should do?
Please help anybody, i need the laptop for work and am currently stuck. Thanks.
