Sound after Vaio starts

Hi

I have a question concerning the sound at vaio's start

Is it possible to turn off (deactivate) the boot sound (this melody played once after every boot? )

I believe you can do it either by going into the bios (Press F2 at startup) or through "Notebook Setup" in control panel.

or you can go to Sound and Audio devices in control panel and chose none for the boot sound.

i haven't found anything to deactivate it, but i could swith the speaker volume in bios to 0.

In windows (Sound and Audio devices in control panel) all sounds were deactivated. I don't mean the widnows sound at the start, but the sound when booting, when the vaio logo appears.

Cannot find Notebook Setup in control panel.

Sorry, but I have the option in the Bios or "Notebook Setup". What model do you have?
and someone might be able to advise you accordingly.
