Hi, I have a VAIO FJ1S and widnows xp is always indicating that it is still charging the battery even though the battery is already 100% full.
I read the manual and it says that when the battery is being charged, the Battery LED blinks and turns-off when battery is 85% full. But it doesn't say anything when the battery charging.
I am afraid that it might overcharge the battery and get broken.
Does anyone have the same problem? even in the FS series?
Lithium Batteries carry a microprocessor that governs the charging of the battery so it does not overcharge and keeps it at a good operating temperature. The charge of about 0.7w is keeping these hardware devices functioning. Lithium batteries explode if they are overcharged hence the precautions taken. Only discharging and recharging reduced the life of the battery so don't worry.
I have that problem.
how did you solve it?
The indicator says "100% Charging". Is it ok?
Do you know the way to enlarge the battery-life?Should I discharge and then recharge the battery everytime, or I can put the VAIO on the home plug even if the battery is not fully descharged?
Yes thats fine, as it's only charging @ 0.7W, which is safe
