"Product model is invalid" encountered; I cannot register my WH-1000XM3

Hi,

I am attempting to register my new WH-1000XM3 headphones at https://www.sony.co.uk/mysony/product/register.

I have filled in the form, and the model name is recognised client-side.

But when I fill in serial number and purchase details, then submit…

I get this error "Product model is invalid":

These are the form params that it is POSTing (plus other params concerning purchase details and serial number, which I've redacted):

The submitted parameters all look correct.

This looks like a server-side bug.

How can I register my headphones?

If you have a look around the forum you'll see others

have had similar problems registering these headphones.

Here's one example.

I have escalated this to check if its a site glitch

and will post back once I hear any info.

I am having the same problem also, purchased from Currys in London, I hope this will not affect the warrant on the phone.

I’ve had this same problem when trying to register mine a few weeks back. Anyone got a solution yet? I don’t want it to affect the warranty
