autoplay music

Does anyone know if plugging in headphones should start a music player on XA2?

Mine doesn't and the buttons on the headphones won't jump tracks forward or back like they do on my Galaxy S5. Volume will go up and down and I can start and stop but nothing else.

I can't find a setting for it.

Both sets of headphones are Bose and they are made for android and they work on 3 samsung phones

Connecting headphones will start some apps but not all.

So it is a default feature and not something I have to turn on?

Depends on the app, some music apps have it built in, some don't.

Yeah poweramp worked I installed it to see, I used to use it. I switched to spotify and it used to open and start. Long press on volume up would jump forward and down would jump back as well as the other usual control. That was on my Samsung S5. Switched to this last week and none of it works with spotify.

I set it up with Tasker.
