Bluetooth Audio skipping

Hi all. 

I have had the phone for about a month. I am happy with the phone apart from the audio which is bad so I bought an Arcam miniblink to use with the phone. All was great for about 3 weeks and then last week the phone did an xperia update and ever since the audio via bluetooth skips every 30 seconds or so. I have tried a million things from the internet and nothing has worked. 

Its not the arcam as that works fine with my gf's older sony android phone (which she didnt update). Its not the app im using in the phone - same thing happens with youtube or googleplay music. Its not my internet connection as it happens when playing mp3s from an sd card. Its not interference on bluetooth because it does not happen when using any other phone in the same place and it isnt distance because the devices are only cms apart. Its definitely the bluetooth because there is no skipping when plugging the headphones into the phone directly. 

What is plainly wrong is the the os is not prioritizing the bluetooth correctly anymore, but i dont know how to do anything about that. I have read that changing the niceness on the bluetooth daemon can help but i do not know how to fiddle with such settings. Any help most appreciated, at the moment I have spent $100 in the arcam for 3 weeks of gloriously good sound quality and now its useless.

@Elfabyanos many issues with bluetooth devices, especially skipping, are due few particular issues. One of them could be high CPU usage, another one can be interference with WiFi bands/channels, bad SIM/SD card..

You also said you tried "million" of things but you may have not tried the following combination:

Be sure to copy in your internal memory a couple of MP3 files, turn off your phone, remove SD card and SIM card, restart your phone. Disable WiFi, now connect via Bluetooth to your Arcam and play a song you uploaded in the internal storage... how's the sound, is it skipping? Repeat the same test by restarting your phone in safe mode and let me know how it goes.

Reviving this thread, I followed your advice on my F5321 (Xperia X Compact) which has been skipping on my car stereo since a software update (not sure which one, but it was about three back).  I keep hoping that an update will actually solve the problem a previous one caused.  Before that update--zero skipping on Bluetooth  I really liked being able to listen to my music collection and Audible books via bluetooth while driving.  Now the skipping is so bad, it's unlistenable.

I moved an MP3 song from my SD card to the internal memory.  I turned off wifi. I removed the SD and SIM cards.  I played the song on three different apps, and they all skipped, interestingly starting at the exact same point in the song.  There is a skip about every five seconds, but not always the same length of time between skips.  It skips forward about a second or less--it doesn't resume at the same spot. 

Then, I immediately turned off Bluetooth and replayed the song.  No skipping whatsoever.  I also get no skipping playing through a Bluetooth speaker, Bluetooth headphones of two different types, nor through my laptop connected via Bluetooth.

This would tend to indicate a problem with my car stereo, but the stereo does not skip with my wife's cheap Samsung Galaxy.

I have searched multiple other forums and tried their various "solutions" with zero joy.

When will this problem, which seems to be very widespread on multiple phones and devices, finally be addressed by whoever is responsible?
