Fault vertical flashing bars on screen

My Xperia phone has started to show flashing vertical bars, every second. I have tried power off, no change, I want to avoid a factory reset. Any idea would be most welcome

take a screenshot > send that screenshot to another phone or computer > do you see the lines? if you don't then it's a hardware issue and you will have to contact your Local support to get it inspected and repaired.
