Frozen screen

I charged my phone last night (Xperia XA2).  I switched it on this morning and went onto facebook.  Now the screen is frozen and I can't switch it off or do anything else.  Any advice gratefully received!

Volume up and power button pressed together until phone vibrates should turn it off.
