Lte connection issues

I purchased Xperia f3213 in the USA, this phone doesn't connect to the lte in idea network in India. Researched a lot over the Internet, no information, called the customer care team  and the guy at the customer care does not understand anything about the request. He blindly says that this phone doesn't support lte in India. I was using lte with Jio. If anyone has come across such scenario please advise me on a fix.

The different versions of the devices normally supports different LTE bands. Below I have listed the supported LTE bands that the Xperia XA (F3213) have and then you will need to get in touch with your operator, to see if they support LTE over these bands and if it needs more than 1 band to work

LTE (Bands 2, 4, 5, 7,12, 13,17, 28).

Thank you for the reply,. The lte bands you mentioned in the post are the same as in my phone f3213, however my operator is using band 3 for lte service, which is the reason I am unable to connect to lte. The question in the post is, how to add band 3 to my phone.

Hi!

Yeah, the LTE bands are very specific for each model and in your case, if you need band 3 so be able to use LTE, you can't add this band using another firmware or setting, as this is based on the hardware in the device.
