Memory Card cannot be read.

I just bought my XA1 Ultra and a memory card. At first, it was working properly. I have successfully transfered some files through the phone then one day it just stopped working. The files were gone. I tried removing the sd card then plugged it back again but it cannot be read anymore but when I plugged the sd card using an adaptor to my laptop the files were still there. Also the memory card cannot be formatted. What should I do to be able to use it again?

@kai_ss I believe that the SD card got corrupted, you may want to try to remove it from the phone and connect to your computer to check if files are still there. There are several apps online to recover contents of corrupted SD cards but are usually not free. 

If the content of the SD card is not important, you could try to re-format and add it back to your phone and check if it works.
