Mount SD as internal storage like Android 7

Hello,

Is it possible to mount SD as internal storage like Android 7 on Android 8 (Oreo)?

Or how I can set to save video and photo on SD-card by default?

Hi @Photographe, welcome to our forum!

Regarding mounting/formatting your SD card as internal storage, this option was removed in Android 6.0 because it impacted software encoding and quality. Later versions of Android will not have this feature either.

If you want to save photos and videos on your SD card by default, open up the camera application > tap the cogwheel at the bottom left > More > Data storage > SD card.

Now all photos and videos that you take/record, will be saved directly to the SD card and if you have already taken a few photos and recorded a few videos, you can move them to the SD card if you go to Settings > Storage > Transfer data to SD card.
