The only way around a pattern lock is to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will delete all data stored on the internal storage and reinstall the latest available update. In the same process the screen lock will also be removed.
Keep in mind that you will need to use your Google credentials to be able to use the device after it has been reset, due to the anti theft feature called Google Device Protection.
Make sure that the device is turned off and not connected to the computer when you start with the repair.
