Hello,
a little over a month ago after one of the OS updates my Sony Xperia Xa started experiencing the following problem:
At the beginning the screen would fade to black when a notification pops up (visibly screen would be black, but you can still press things in apps, etc).
I tried every step suggested to me by a person in the Sony support, including restoring to factory settings, fixing the phone through Xperia Companion, but nothing helped. After a while the problem went away on its own for about a week, then it returned (the black screen was showing up way more frequently) and since yesterday it has been impossible for me to even unlock my screen, it keeps fading to black every second (even more curious that the black beginns to appear, making the shape of the letter U until the screen is completely black), the only way I can sometimes access the home screen is through opening the camera via the camera button and then very fast tapping the home button. The problem appears when I try to drag down the status bar, open almost all of my apps (no matter if it's from the ones that came with the phone or installed by me), try to use the camera, slide to unlock my screen and even when the phone is in safe mode, it's even a struggle to turn it off or restart it.
I've had the phone for about an year, never had any kind of problem like that before and I've been taking good care of it.
Any idea how can I fix this?
