Someone ended up blocking my phone because I did not know my email and password

Help someone who knows what I can do with my phone lock? It blocked because they put incorrect data in my mail! Help ! What I can do !

Hi @Innaga23, sorry to hear about this.

I'm not quite sure that I understand exactly what you mean, are you not able to log back in to your device after it has been reset?

Your device is equipped with a anti theft feature called Google Device protection that gets activated when adding a Google account and adding a screen lock to your device (PIN/Pattern/Password).

If you perform a software repair or a factory reset on your phone, you will need to login with the Google credentials for the account that is added in the phone.

If you don't know the user name of password, you can with the help of the Google website reset your pass word or try finding out the user name for your account. Do note that if you reset your password you will need to wait 24 hours before you can verify the Google account again.

Should no one of the above work, an authorized service centre can reset the Google device protection feature on your phone and your Local support team will arrange a repair for you if needed.

I would like to confirm which phone model that you are experiencing this behaviour with, so could you please get back to me with this information? Thanks in advance.

Regarding the message that you have received. Most of our newer devices are equipped with an anti theft protection called Google Device Protection that gets activated when you add a Google account in your phone and activate a screen lock.

If you reset your phone back to factory setting or if you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion the Google Device protection will be triggered and you will have to enter your Google credentials to be able to verify and unlock your phone. If you change the password on your Google account you will need to wait 24 hours before you can verify and unlock your phone again.

So in this case, wait out the 24 hour lock down and enter your Google credentials again.
