XA Ultra: Intermittent charging and slow speed of charging after gaining 70%

I am using Xperia XA Ultra for the past 6 months but for the past few days, I am experiencing a unique problem while charging this phone.

First, the speed of charging slows down after crossing 70% and it takes usually around 1 hour from 75% to 95%. Earlier, it never happened like this.

Second, when I plug in the charger, the charging alternates every few seconds. For instance, the phone will be charged for 8-10 secs and then get disconnected (on its own) for 1-2 seconds and then again starts getting charged automatically. This process repeats for 5-7 mins and then charging becomes stable.

Not sure if this is being caused by some update/bug. Request your help to resolve this issue.

Do you have another USB cable you can test the charging with?
Also, does it do the same thing in safe mode?

As you suggested, I will check charging using another USB cable now and also check it in safe mode. Will revert with my findings. Thanks for your help.
