Xperia XA gets stuck at 85%-88% charging

I bought a new Xperia XA last Monday, and up until Sunday I had no issues. But now it gets stuck at 85%-88% charge and refuses to go up. I've tried two different chargers to no avail, and I even drained the battery and tried charging while turned off to only hit 88% and get stuck again.

I have noticed around the same time this issue popped up, my phone said it installed new software and updated itself. It could be mere coincidence, but I remember back when I had an S3 something similiar happened that ended up being a software bug Samsung fixed. Any help with this issue? Thanks.

Welcome to the community.

Can you please try charging your phone while it is in safe mode and see if it does the same thing? Also try charging it while it's completely turned off and see if it will get to 100%.

I also have the same problem.. charging of my xperia xa ultra stuck up to 88%. Am currently doing the "safe mode" while charging. I hope this will fix the problem.

I bought my phone last 2 days ago, at first I did encounter a problem. the phone speakers stop functioning (w/ earphones is ok). I did send the unit back to Sony where i bought it and replace a new one and now another problem is the charging (stuck to 88%).

Even i am facing it 

My charging stuck at 95% and refuses to charge above plus it takes a lot of time to charge mobile now
