Xperia xa1 cable

Hi,

I have a problem with the cable connecting to charge the phone. It appears to have a loose connected on the phone. This is currently resulting in me having to position the phone at various angles in order for the Xperia to receive a charge, sometimes taking up time. Is there any official suggestion from Sony on how I can resolve this?

Many thanks.

Hello @michaelw89,

I ran into the same issue after using my Xperia XA for slightly over 6 years.

You could probably get it repaired, but the repair price would probably be more than the phone is worth. For that reason I switched to a new phone (which now has USB-C).

Is this Micro USB or USB-C? I don't know the XA1, but my XA1 plus got USB-C.

Micro USB wears out pretty fast sometimes. Did you try it with another cable yet?

You may have to get new ones on occasions.

If the new cable does not help, it's probably the USB socket within your phone - by frequent use or by misuse. Then you will have to get a new phone. It's not worth to repair it.
