bravia engine 2 . a boon or a curse?

Guys there is a problem. The thing is when picture taken from my Xperia zl the results are not that good. Especially the colours are not natural. But the bravia engine makes it look so good. Which is a good thing to be watched in this phone only. It is not at all good enough to be used in a pc our some other such devices. The reason for this is the images are over compressed. What's point in compressing an image and boosting it with bravia engine.? Compression was a problem even in earlier phones of Xperia range. Please provide a good camera software which can use the potential of the hardware. Thank you.

There are a few threads where we got feedback regarding the camera and compression and this has been forwarded but i'm glad to hear that you're satisfied with BE2 Slightly_smiling_Face

that's the point of the Bravia Engine to enhance contrast/colors for the screen/phone just like with the Bravia TVs, but I agree that it should be implemented, perhaps when you take a picture you could have a raw image and also a second image that was enhanced

Yes sir i totally agree. But compressing a picture just to see the effect of bravia engine 2 is not at all necessary. Im sure that people who can such high end phones can also afford to class 10 64gb cards as well as cloud storage.

It was necessary for 2012 xperias as they had limited storage capacity. but this years flagship are way ahead of them.

However BE2 does what its supposed to do. pics and videos looks really good.
