Could somebody from Sony please explain why thousands of us are now 3 updates behind now regarding firmware updates?

I'm going into horsham tomorrow where I got the phone from on the 4th of March and have had endless problems with since and I'm going to ask them where the update is. If they say they don't know, I'm going to ask for a refund. Bought multiple items from there including the MDR-1R so I'm hoping they're going to be nice. Thinking about trading the Z in and getting an S4. Still got my S2 which works flawlessly - unlike the Z. I'm sick of the terrible customer service and will never buy a sony phone again. Should have sticked to Samsung, they've always helped.
Well over 16,000 views and STILL no update or word from Sony. A lot of people will never fall again for the complete mockery of a mobile phone brand that is Sony. You complete idiots for how shamelessly you have treated your customers. I like so many others now have had just about enough and will never.buy Sony again. Just look at some of the Facebook comments from unhappy customers ! Shame on you Sony. Idiots!
u know i bought samsung galaxy gio and i had bad impression on samsung so i bought xperia arc s best mobile then i bought xperia s had lil problem with camera and now xperia z best mobile b4 patch 434 , but with 434 im having stamina mode problem and lil with others but waiting for update is a long and borring , heck my lil cousin has same xperia z and have latest update and everything , i regret to buy on uk xperia z , i tell u 1 thing sony , if ur not gonan give my update b4 this month , u will be my last sony phone

I don't really care when my phone gets updated, it's a life changing event, but It would like to know if it will at some point. Exact same thing happened with my Xperia arc, didn't stop me getting my Z. It's not the end of the world.
its neither life changing or that important in the scale of everything but, assume that you buy a windows pc and all updates are held back leaving what ever minor bugs present whilst everyone else recieves full update support that keeps the pc running smoother, faster and with less security risks and new features, sony promised an almost imediet update (4.2.2 jellybean) for the phone on launch to keep it more competative with the samsung galaxy s4, sony promised support for the phone and it would be misleading to their consumers to go back on that word, furthermore by ambigously delaying the matter with no actual date at which the update will come for the rest of the customers is also dishonest of them, they have announced that the updates are released and to say they are still rolling out the updates (that being 3 updates the allmost every other xperia z device has recieved already) by that logic they can delay it for decades and say its still being rolled out, the notion is unreasonable, if microsoft did such a thing with windows, or apple with iPhones and so on people would be mad that they where promised updates, more stable os and new features and yet even though others already have the update they cannot get it for some unbeknown reasoning. Furthermore yes, I can root my phone or flash an even more up to date version of android on the device myself however I should not need to do that when the device is new and supposodely still supported by them.
The reason we get neglected is because we are a niche. Most people buy their phones through contracts. Networks have far more influence and economic power than a couple of unbranded indivuduals.
Sony must have been paid off to give networks the latest updates, there isnt a rational reason why there is such a delay.
Absolutely shocking support - To top it off, we are now 4 updates behind as 10.3.1.A.0.244 is now available for Nordic Combined (b) (Generic NCB with custom number 1270-7280 - http://scavenger.ch/sonyupdate/?model=C6603&custId=1270-7280).
Generic UK devices are now only one of five sets of devices that are stuck on old builds, compared to over 100 that are on 10.1.1.A.1.253 or later. (Althought there are two sets still on 10.1.A.1.350...!).
I have had the standard reply saying that the update "depends on regions and networks" - although I have clearly stated that this is not a network supplied device.
There are two issues, firstly the lack of support for the latest firmware containing fixes I require. Secondly the unfulfilled promise of an Android 4.2 release "shortly after release" - 5 months is not "shortly after release", especially in the Consumer Mobile Phone Market...
Now, if there is an issue with the update and they have stopped rolling it out - we've all seen the issues people have had with 4.2.2 - then I just don't understand why a statement isn't issued. The strategy at the moment of denial and stonewalling from Sony only serves to anger those who have a device that doesn't work properly with 4.2.2 and also from those awaiting updates on devices that don't work properly on 4.1.2...
All we want Sony, is to be kept in the loop, I don't expect a release date, just a meaningful status report... this will buy you the time to fix any issues you may be having.
