Update Schedule

Any dates on when the latest version will be available for Global generic rom, SI 1270-5676.5?

@uliwooly I'd respecfully disagree that the purpose of this forum is solely for inter-customer communication. I'm not disagreeing about the spam aspect of your response, but Sony reps have (inconsistently) responded to posts in select threads, and so to expect them to address this concern is not unreasonable, IMHO.

I have actually contacted Sony on different vehicles, still waiting on the answer.

I am NOT getting an answer from YOU as it seems, please stop trying.

I'm quite aware of spamming, but this is a pressing issue which Sony hasn't addressed properly. More than trying to find an answer for myself, my intent is to keep the issue alive and fresh in their memories. Someone must be reading this.

If I sound passionate, if I complain too much, if I repeat myself.. Well, it's because I care. I'm in love with my device, as I have been with the Arc before, and the X10 before that. The only thing sub par I found on all of them was Sony/Costumer relationship. That's why I'll keep trying, even if the chances are slim to get any answer here. All I want is for someone - official reps - to at least tell me it's coming, that I have not been forgotten once I paid for my device.

P.S. If/When I get an answer from my contacts with Sone on different vehicles, I'll post it here if informative or wanted may be.

Unfortunately some threads and posts gets moderated and also deleted since they do not correspond with the Support Forum guidelines. It could also be that the OP of the thread has been banned and his posts deleted for violating the guidelines. We try to maintain a purpose with this forum. Being a place for users to discuss with each other about their phones but still all members of this forum needs to follow the guidelines. Sorry to hear this and that we haven't reached you fast enough. I have been looking into the overheating problems that's being mentioned here on the forum and I thank you for bringing us your feedback. Unfortunately I can't answer all our users in time because this forum has a lot of posters and my main purpose here is to check for current problems and to make sure that they are acknowledged by concerned team within the company. So even if you don't get any answer from me doesn't mean that I'm not ware of issues.

If you need fast answers you should always call your local support team. The main purpose of this forum is for users to share their experiences and of course to help each other. I do also of course try to help our users as much as I can.

I'm sorry to hear that we've lost you as a customer but I hope that you will get a phone that satisfies your needs and perhaps that you will come back to us in the future.

Then I propose that Sony is muddying the waters by dabbling in our communication. When reps are "helping" at their discretion, they are also implicitely setting an expectation of Sony support. As a comparison, when I owned a Nokia and used their support forums, there was absolutely no participation on the part of Nokia reps. That set the parameters of the forum clearly.

anyway, as you can read above and as I'd said before if you need help or official answers contact Sony's customer service, and also

if users post all over the forum the same thing or create new threads on the same on going topic chances are that Sony moderators are not going to be able to get to that thread any time soon.
