if this about update then Sony have nothing todo with update being delayed or never showing up to people in UK, it has somethind to do with your phone service Sony only publish the update and then all services that has Sony phone's can then fetch the update and custom it a bit if they got anything to add to it and then publish it to the pc program so it says new update available

So be truth why is everyone blaming sony for it when sony has nothing todo with update being delayed or never showing up, it all mathers on your phone service they decide if your phone gets a update or not.

it's not sony it's your phone service thats the ones not releasing the updates, Sony publish it to every country then it's up to your phone service that your with to pulbish it to you, which they sem to be poor and havent done that so blame them since sony has nothing todo with it.

Some phone services are so badly slow at update or decides not to release anymore updates which is quite bad for them todo.

Let me explain how it works

1. Sony release the update

2.your phone service downloads it let's say mine is 3 SE=3 Sweden

3.then they do customization to the update such as adding their own apps or so if they want to if not the roll the update directely.

4.Sony is not held responsible for updates not being available to everyone directely as they are stating on their site that it is difirent to every country and depends on your phone service.

5. so STOP BLAMING SONY!

not last by least, there is bad phone services out there that is extremely slow on releasing updates to their phones so for now on Contact them about it don't continue blaming SONY for it.

Check this website for  which country and which phone service has released the update

if you got etc Generic UK then wait for that list once it says 10.3.A.0.423 on Generic UK then your good to go if it still wont detect any then wait around 1-2 hours for your pc porgram to detect the update.

So youre telling me O2 is responsible for the unbranded phones updates as well as its branded phones also?

if your customization number is 1270-7689 then you should keep checking that list it should tell you once you get the update

Generic UK                  1270-7689  10.1.A.1.434    United Kingdom

you can see that now in the list but once it's

Generic UK                  1270-7689  10.3.A.0.423 United Kingdom

then the update has arrived to your phone.

Secondly the answer to your question yes normally it's phone service thats behind it but idk if thats the same for unbranded ones so just use this link i gave you keep watching it every day once Generic UK gets the update then you will see the answer on the link.

Also usually if this is now correct i have heard most of times branded phones get update first before unbranded ones but idk if thats true.

M8 we are talking about unbranded phones which is up to Sony making it available.  If u looked it's only unbranded which are still on 434. Branded phones updates are released by the phone operators.
