I was so excited when they announced this flagship and hoping that Sony could go back on track again. They didn't bring any innovation on Xperia1 but still expected it to be better.
I pre-ordered from carphone warehouse with headphones offer and got my phone yesterday. Well, it certainly not I expected.
It is a buggy phone with a terrible battery life... Which maybe can be improved with a few updates. But the most important thing is mobile network connection is a disaster. "4G+" constantly dropping out and trying to reconnect. Imagine yourself walking, listening to your favourite tune and song is cutting out because of no network connection.
Are you connected to the Wi-Fi? Do you want to turn it off? Sure you can, but you will lost 4G connection as well and wait min 5 seconds until your device decides to connect. And even if it does, it drops out again right after, so you can't stay connected to mobile network.
I don't know if this is a hardware issue or if they can solve it with an update but it is SO annoying that I paid almost £900 for a "flagship" that can't even stay connected to the network.
I believe it has a problem with connectivity in general as bluetooth also does the same thing. My headphones keep on dropping when I try to change sound settings while listening to music.
God Sony, you had one chance to go back on track and you just buried it to the ground with that "flagship" you definitely didn't do a fine tuning.
So I believe others also having the same issue as I saw in other threads.
I'm so disappointed about this device ,for £900?this phone worth no more than £400...battery life it's so bad, screen looks like IPS ( faded colours ),camera it's horrible especially when you zoom-- the objects are blurry ,camera stabilization is very bad ,no night mode for pictures, fingerprint and power button separately?come on .. No more Sony Keyboard,Clear Bass,Vivid mode ,no themes😟😰
And I noticed when I listen music in my Bluetooth headphones they keep losing the connection,I use the same headphones with S10+ for 3 months I had no problems
Screen light it's going crazy ,it keeps adjust the light sometimes it's get darker few seconds and after 1 second very brighter,it's very annoying
🥺😡🤬🤬😡👿😈😈
This phone is a waste of money and time.
Get rid of then eh?
Personally I think it's a lovely phone with great screen, good camera, fast, decent battery life and I really like it.
If they could just fix this ****ing 4G connection problem, it would be great.
yeah to be honest I was concerned with battery life but yesterday I had a hectic day, from one meeting to another with phone in my hand and online most of the time, didn't have a chance to charge it in between and it was 30 percent when I got back home around 9 pm
This can be as a result of not using 4G connection tho. 3G doesn't drain battery like 4G.
I couldn't take many photos but I think it needs fine tuning but I am not good at photography anyway. My photos are a little bit too vivid or bright.
Didn't have any wifi or bluetooth connectivity issues. screen is decent. it fits my hand and easy to use. but still without a 4G and wifi calling, it doesn't make much sense as I can't make the most of it.
I hope upcoming software update can sort wifi calling and 4G issues.
Are you serious?
screen is better than s10, also when you take zoom, i looks better than quality on s10.
I guess you has devices with much problem.
Its worth $999

So did you get any network disconnects whilst on 3G only? Does restricting the phone to 3G stop the connection disconnects?
To be honest..I was planning to move from S10+ ...but this phone it's a disappointment for me I used to be Sony fan before I had all Z series including the z5 premium
...on Experia 1 I don't have WiFi calling and VoLte ..and I have to Keep my network on 3 G now because 4G it makes problems and call drops ... and I don't know about your countries but in UK 3G is really slow
i still got my S10+ ... So here is a camera comparation between both devices,I used the max zoom ×10 from same distance .... The Sony camera its a shame ...

I never had an issue on 3G. it is connected H+ all the time. as soon as I turn on 4G, i lose connection and network
