Is it possible for Sony Xperia 1 to get the beta version of Android 11?
Then why insult me when I gave you my guess?
My goal is for people who are aware of this to send a message here. For example, Sony Developers
Ahh ok, so you were only after responses from Sony developers who might know.
Ok got it.

Please do not speak to posters in that fashion, remember to be polite
Everyone here are at differing levels of Sony knowledge and the mods are just trying to help.
To answer your question directly, I very much doubt the original xperia 1 will be part of the 11 beta Programme and nor should it to be honest. Possibly the Mark ii or the MARK III
The Xperia 1 should get Android 11, as it's well within the rough 2 years of support.
Heck the Samsung S10, and S10+ are on the official list, so it should get it, but it may not be on the beta release list.
Googles guidelines for release this year is thus:
But not 1 single Sony device listed, even the 1 ii.
Yes it WILL get it buddy, however as far as being part of the actual beta programme, i would not have thought so.
Knowing Sony they will BETA test it with 1 MARK 2 then roll it out to the original 1
More like test it on a Samsung s10, then roll it out to the Xperia range. 🤓
No official list has yet been announced for Android 11 beta devices.
Keep in mind that last year, despite being the latest flagship of Sony Xperia 1, the beta version of Android 10 for Xperia XZ3 was released. Sony usually releases for a device that has a lot of users and can get feedback. So, this year, Xperia 1 will probably receive Android Beta.

I caught the new edited advert for the S20 ultra last night, and see they have severely crippled the space zoom feature, with the guy in the air balloon.
It's now a very grainy zoom effect on the advert..from the sparklingly sharp zoom effect on the first advert.
