most likely if you are choosing between the two. it's gonna be the size. if the size does matter for you, go Xperia 1ii for bigger or Xperia 5ii for more compact. 

do you watch media a lot of time in your device? if yes go Xperia 1 ii if not Xperia 5 would be alright...

@EduardsSolovjovs choose the one you like more, 5 II is the compact flagship from my point of view. Except for screen size and weight, they are the same.

Well the two phones are mostly the same, except for a few differences; the Xperia 1 ii has a 3D time-of-flight sensor on its camera module, while the Xperia 5 ii doesn't. The 1 ii also has a 4K display while the 5 ii has only a Full-HD display. However, the 5ii has a 120Hz refresh rate on its display while the 1 ii only has 60Hz. In terms of price, the 5 ii is cheaper than the 1 ii.
