Poor Blacks on KD-55XH9505?
Hello,
I have had my TV for a few weeks and all was good until I started watching Vikings on Prime. The black levels are shocking when showing dark scenes. It’s like moving blocks of blacks. I have reduced the black level to 42 but you lose loads of detail!
i am on standard setting. The top one is from the darts (bit harder to see) and the bottom Vikings. Don’t know why they aren’t the right way up!!
any suggestions? Thanks

Standard is not the best setting on Sony TV . You should use the custom one unless you calibrate it.
Nonetheless if you care about blacks why did you buy an LCD TV?

Sony does produce also wonderful oled if you wanna see movies in the dark without any hint of blooming. Xh95 is a good fald LCD but this technology cannot display dark area without some compromise. Let us know if it his a bit better with the custom profile
