Hi,
I've installed ExpressVPN on the AG9 and can successfully connect to various VPN locations when the TV is connected via wireless.
I can't connect to the VPN though when the TV is connected via ethernet.
With the ethernet connection I select a VPN location, it connects very briefly then drops the internet connection altogether - the only way to re-establish the internet connection is to unplug and plug back in the ethernet cable.
Any idea why it won't connect please?
Note, my PC which is also connected via ethernet connects to the VPN absolutely fine.
I've tried the obvious things like uninstalling/reinstalling and trying different protocols.
Thanks
Nick
Thanks nickeggington!
This solution worked and helped me as well! 👍
No crashing of the ethernet connection when starting ExpressVPN after applying split app tunnelling, and chose the only apps I want the VPN to be used with.
Hi, I'm not sure if you can use the VPN only because it's on the Play Store, I've had a friend who the VPN caused his TV to constantly restart and he was advised to remove the VPN. Sony also published an article saying that some of the downloaded apps might be a cause of an issue with the OS: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-lcd-tvs-android-/kd-55xg8096/artic...
Can you please check that link? It isn’t working for me.
