Sony Android KD-65XG8796 TV

i purchased this tv in 2019 so it’s fairly new but for some reason it no longer automatically updates over air. Sony has recently released and update that contains Apple TV for Android TVs, my tv is eligible but has not updated. I don’t want to manually update as I fear that I might mess up. Does anybody else have the same issue

If you don't want to go via an USB update, you have to wait for Sony to spread it vie OTN. It is your choice. Nonetheless updating via USB has the same risk that doing it OTN (i.e. you have to be sure you have power to the tv during the process)
