You can't uninstall preinstalled apps just like most Android devices, not just TVs.
But I believe that @royabrown2 wanted to know what you wanted to do since a simple no wouldn't be helpful (and I couldn't agree more).
So what are you trying to do exactly? Get more space for installing apps for example?

I did wonder if this might be related to not having a TV Licence; it would be nice if you could demonstrate that you couldn't be breaking the rules, as besides you not having an aerial, your TV didn’t have the BBC iPlayer app either.

The TWO requirements for not needing a TV licence are relatively simple and the information is freely available on the BBC website:
1. You must not watch live TV.
2. You must not watch BBC Iplayer.
You merely have to submit a declaration to this effect via the website and they will contact you via email regarding the cancellation of the TV licence.
However, they may (will) send someone round to check that you are adhering to your declaration. I have had a visit but the gentleman will not currently enter your property to do "further checks" due to Covid.

Nor does he have the power to enter your premises unless invited in.
Something else these ‘gentlemen’ have in common with vampires.
