Sony C5 switches off while I puts it vertically in my pocket

I don't know why, but it switches off in my pocket, even if there is no excessive pressure applied.
And after that, to turn it on I need to press the screen at the center and hold the button.
I can't let that happen, because I missed many important calls because of this.
I would appreciate if you can provide solution..

Does this always occur when you have the phone in your pocket and it's placed vertically? Does it switch off if you have it in your pocket horizontally or vertically on a table?

First of all, I'd recommend that you reboot your phone in safe mode, just to make sure that a third party application that you have downloaded isn't the cause of these restarts, they will be disabled while the phone is rebooted in safe mode.

If there is no change in safe mode, try removing the SIM and/or SD cards from your phone.

I have the same problem
But when I keep it at a table keeping working
Just horizontal make it switch off and not easy to open it again a have to press at the screen to make it open
By the way I did all the answer and nothing change and I press the rest button for 120 second and then charge it and open it but I still have the same problem could anyone help

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing the same behaviour with your phone. Slightly_frowning_Face

If there was no change while the phone was rebooted in safe mode and both SIM and SD cards weren't mounted in the phone, try and perform a software repair using Xperia Companion.

This will rule out that this is caused by the software in your phone and the latest available software will be reinstalled.

Do note that all data that you have stored on the internal storage in the phone will be deleted in this process, so it's advised to backup using Xperia Companion before you start with the repair process.

In this case your phone will need to be examined by a trained technician at an authorized service centre. Your Local support team will gladly assist you with this and answer any questions that you have may have regarding local service procedures, warranty and so forth.

Hey everyone,

I get my phone checked at Sony service center. Motherboard of my phone has got damaged. It cost me 9600 INR, just after finish of warranty of 1 year Slightly_frowning_Face

           you may checkout your phone at service center, it charges 115 INR for inspection..
