DSC-F717 - No Image

I own a DSC-F717. Though tech info appears on the LED and thru viewfinder there is no image nor does one appear on review. I believe there were issues with the chip - would this be the cause.

Hi if you can play images you have already on the memory stick and can see menu's ok, it would indicate a CCD issue, this model is still covered please visit the link below to arrange a repair if you can see old images ok.
