My Xperia Play (Verizon's Stock Android 2.3.2 Version) Doesn't Have An MTP Button To Click For Sync With PC Companion

It Doesnt Download The Update over the air and when connected to pc companion it tells me to drag down the status bar and choose mtp connection for media sync but its not there? how can i update my phone now??

just install Update Service on your PC and update your phone

make sure you backup everything, you can install Backup & Restore app, works with the Arc and Play

just to play it safe sync your contacts w/ google if you haven't already

open your phonebook

press MENU button -> tap on Send Contacts -> select all -> send it to your email

on your computer

-> download the file -> go to your gmail -> click on contacts -> click on more actions -> on the drop down menu click on "import" -> choose the file -> and click import
