Songs and Pictures not available in list

Hi,

I have transferred pics and songs from my laptop to my mobile, but this songs and pictures are not appearing into the respective lists of music player and imgaes list.

Download one media player and quick pic to your moible from google play and see if you are able to see pictures through quick pic and find music through another media player/

if yes then do

settings > applications > manage apps > all > gallery and then music player > clear data

see if it helps

If not then backup important stuff from memory card to pc and format your sd card and then transfer songs and pics and see if you are able to

if the problem still exists... do a factory data reset ... backup everything as it will erase all data on phone

It's not connected to PC. I am able to view complete list but not the new songs added into the llist nor the songs imported vua BlueTooth too

I have the same problem. There is some issue with MTP USB Device driver.

Remarkable that PC Companion isn’t updated to the new ICS standard in the instructions how to connect, in ICS you have to disconnect the USB cable to change mood.

Lots of things that doesn’t work, like moving images on the SD card and both Android Gallery and Xperia Gallery wont update properly, especially Xperia G. Add music files manually and the player don’t see them.

But great that they did update Contacts to Groups and sorting by last name.

But it’s very frustrating to have to go to all this trouble to search information to get it to work. Seems that one have to use third party stuff for everything to make it work. I now use Quick Pic for images, and have to find some music player that i don’t have to hack for hours to make it work. My Phone Explorer works excellent both over Wi-Fi  and USB to administer the phone content.

And yes I have re-flashed the phone after ICS update.

  But the camera is still outstanding. 🙂

I took the back up of my data in SD card and formatted it.

Then again transferred the data back to card. It worked.

Any ideas?
