Battery Life....

...recently purchased a used VAIO EA3M1E (14 inch screen)...runs a bit warm but my question...

The battery gives me just about 2 hours of 'general' useage....Is the battery on it's way out ?

Would it be worth while getting a new battery as I really would like at least 3 hours ...even four...

Where is the best price for Sony batteries in UK ?

The battery life according the specifications for your model is 3 hrs, but this is dependent on a number of factors including the use of optical drive and network connectivity. The following link gives more information – type ‘How to increase your VAIO's battery autonomy’ in the search field.

From experience if 3 hrs is claimed any you are achieving 2 hrs during standard use then this is about normal.

If you require an additional battery I suggest that Sony is probably your safest bet as some imports will not work without a BIOS tweak – avoid at all cost!
