drivers for the RS 224

I bought a RS 224 last tuesday. When I installed it, I found out it was an english version, and I am dutch. I tryed to find the dutch language pack at the Microsoft site but could not find it. After 2 days of frustration and recovering 5 times i decided to use a dutch XP cd. That worked allright for XP but all the other software and drivers were gone and not recoverable. Now I have a pc with XP and thats it. My sound doesnt work, my DVD/CD RW doest work etc. On the vaio link the drivers are not alvailable, only updates wich don't work for me. I posted a case to e-support but havent had an answer yet.
I almost wish I had not bought this pc !!!:smileycry:
What can I do best ? Can I return the pc to the store ? Can Sony help me with the software and drivers ?
I've run out on ideas how to solve this.... HELP !!

When you perform a recovery the machine specific drivers are installed in a directory on the C drive ( I think its called "drivers" )

Copy this directory to removeable media and then reinstall your XP.

You are then left with the tedious task of manually installing all of the drivers.

This is often not hassle free and many people have been left with incomplete functionality.

I have a RS324E, and I have the Dutch installation.. but I wanted the English one, misschien kunnen we ruilen?

heheh, that's so true, but we both well be much MUCH more happy with our kewl Sony VAIO's

Ik zal dan verder niet zeuren over de low budget speakers, my Dutch keyboard layout (meteen weg gesmeten) and non optical PS2 mouse, das toch echt nie van deze tijd (vorig jaar december).

I don't speak that much Dutch at all, last time I was there was '97.
The sad thing about Sony is they don't have multi language software
