How to disable Sony Vaio VGN-NR32S Touchpad?

I have the laptop model written in the title. I can't seem to be able to turn off touchpad on it as it's very annoying when I'm typing and it jumps to a random place thus distracting and annoying. I go to PS/2 Compatible mouse properties, and the disable function cannot be selected. How do I turn it off? Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

The touchpad can be disabled in Vaio Control Centre.

Just go to Control Panel, then Vaio Control Center.  Under Keyboard and Mouse there will be Built-in  Pointing Device.  Once you click on that a box will pop up and there you can click to uncheck the Enable box to disable the touchpad.
