Mouse problems Vaio PCG-505AP

I have still problems using the touch pad of my Vaio (see last message from June, 23rd 2003). Installing a new driver (as recommended here) is not a solution.
Problem description: After a certain period of use (temperature effect?) the mouse is jumping around while placing a hand or a finger on the case next to the pad. This is followed even by uncontrolled mouse clicks. Using an external mouse is terminating this effect.
Diagnosis: Since a new driver is of no help, we assume that this is caused by a hardware problem possibly due to thermal distortion of a case which is too thin.

Is that problem known by Sony? Anyone else with similar problems using a 505AP?

You might be on to something Christian
If I can't operate my touchpad, I have to warm up my hands.
