I have a Flip 14a which came with Windows 8 pre-installed. It looks like Sony have done their best to ensure users don't have the choice of using Windows 7. Now that Sony have jettisoned the Vaio business, I'm wondering what support there will be for Windows 10 when it is released later this year. Is Sony likely to ensure that compatible drivers are made available?
I'm afraid we will all have wait until closer to the launch to see which (if any) Vaio models will be supported for an upgrade.
This question gets asked every time there is a new Windows OS and the only reliable answer is to wait and see.
Now we know the answer to that NO !!
I do not think the answer is as simple as that Davwilso29.
For the correct information it would be best to visit the Sony Windows 10 Upgrade page.
That's correct Nobody-in-particular, they really are working on it.
From the link in the above post:
"We are currently testing the performance of Sony products with Windows 10 and will be releasing compatibility information gradually. Visit this page regularly for updates!"
I'd love to see a screenshot of that lol
All we can do for now is keep checking that page I'm afraid.
At least we do know they're trying.
