Termination of the Amazon Prime Video app on certain 2010-2013 BRAVIA TVs and Audio & Video products – 30th July 2019

So apprently my player Sony BDV-E2100 will no longer beable to access amazon prime from the stated date, why? i only bought my player 8 months ago, and made sure it would give me access to this service, now its being revoked without reason, and im left with a large shiny black brick. Any advice? do i have to buy a new player? what guarantee do i have that the servcie wont be revoked on that a few months later too?
