VGN-NW20EF @ key not working properly

I cannot find an appropriate board on which to post this message as there seems to be nothing for laptops.

I have a VGN-NW20EF laptop and the @ key does not work with the Right-shift.

Everything else works with the Right-shift, and the @ key works with the Left-shift.

I have uninstalled the keyboard driver and re-booted, upon which the driver has been re-installed, without any change.

Has anybody got any ideas how I can get it working with the Right-shift?

Thank you. I clearly only looked at General Chat. I will re-post

Being new to this site, I marked this solved, thinking I was marking that posting on the correct board was solved.

It appears that I have marked my problem as being solved. Is there any way I can get rid of that?

Many thanks.

Best left solved isn’t it?

Otherwise we are going to have an issue on this board that will never be solved, and will skew our statistics 😢

The answer to that question, actually is No..

Your logic was -

The OP posted a question in the general chat section of the Sony User Community, as the OP couldn’t find a section for Laptops.

Rather than receiving a possible solution the OP received a reply simply directing them to the PC’s & Accessories section, which the OP then inadvertently marked as a solution..

If anyone with a similar issue now searches the Sony User Community in the future they’ll see the solution as a redirect to another section, which isn’t actual any help at all and reduces the effectiveness of marking posts as solved!!..

Hi V8lover,

Welcome to the Sony User Community..

Navigating the Community can be confusing at times so please don’t worry about where you have posted your question, your not the first, the community is full of such threads, and I can guarantee you won’t be the last..

It is generally best to try to keep to one thread as posting the same question to different sections can get confusing for people trying to help, but as you have, I’ll search for your other post and reply there..

Hi @V8Lover

Marking this thread as solved has absolutely no impact on your posting in the correct community. Did you think that marking this thread as solved, somehow meant your other post was marked as solved and the reason why you were not getting many answers? The communities are different and not connected. You will only get answers if fellow customers know the answer. Leaving this thread as unsolved means people will continue to add to it.

A better solution for people finding your question is to point them to the live thread.
