Blocking unknown calls

How can I block a number on my Xperia Z3 without adding the number to my contacts list? I cannot seem to see where to do it. Thanks in advance.

I downloaded an app from the google app store called Truecaller which can automatically block numbers plus can most of the time tell you who is calling you like spam calls.  You can also easily block numbers with a touch of the screen.

Hope that helps like the app has helped me a great deal.
