Bluetooth streaming, Metadata not displayed.

I recently switched from my Xperia Z2 to the XA Ultra. Paired with car stereo as before with my Z2 and I noticed that the metadata that used to be displayed on the car stereo using my Z2 does not do so using my XA Ultra. I've searched the internet for answers but came up empty. Before anyone asks, yes I have deleted the phone and reconnected and paired to my car stereo with no fix. Please advise.

Absolutely, I would be happy to.  Just shoot me the instructions of what to do please.  Thank you

I notice the site you mentioned is a Great Britain site.  I am in the U.S., so I believe it is different.  Either way, I already paid 😛

Great!

To take logs:

Settings > About phone > Build number, tap 7 times on the build number
Go back to Settings and select Developer options and turn on "USB debugging". Then tap "Logger buffer sizes" and set this to "4 M".
Then connect the phone to your car and start to play a song using our Music app.

If it doesn't display the metadata:
Settings > Developer options, select "Take bug report". When the report is ready (may take a minute or so) you get a notification that you can tap and share to Google Drive. Please send me a link to this file in a private message.

I have same issue with my volkswagen premium Bluetooth. Xa ultra does not provide metadata for my device while my other phone (iphone5, meizu m2 mini, asus zenfone, ZTE blade a610) do not have a problem with it. I can change tracks from my rcd510 but I can't see artist and trackname on display.

Same issue with Toyota Corolla 2014 Car Stereo, but working in Toyota RAV4 2015 Car Stereo. I would like it working in the Corolla as well.

My problem is similar. Cannot connect at all to my premium bluetooth on my RNS 510 system.

What can I do? The VW group systems are using the r-sap for connection via bluetooth.

Is the phone compatible? What can I do?

Every answer accepted

TNX in advance!

Hi, I also encountered the same problem.

My car's stereo unit is Sony XAV-650BT.

It's sony to sony connection, but still Bluetooth streaming and Metadata do not display.

Need your assitance on this please.

I am facing exactly the same issue, since I upgraded my phone to XA Ultra from C3 Ultra. The car bluetooth does not display metadata from any Sony phone running Marshmallow or above, and works perfectly with other phones (any Android) or Sony phones running Androud 5 or below.

The car is Hyundai 2016 model, so pretty new with the latest firmware.

Please can someone advise. I have tried the usual steps of deleting BT profiles, redoing BT profiles, factory data reset for phone, new installation of phone software at Sony centre etc but nothing works. I have downloaded BT Snoop file and can send to someone from Sony who may want to go through and identify the root cause.

Thanks much
